๐ Image Format Converter
Convert an image between JPEG, PNG and WebP, and from BMP or GIF (static first frame) to those formats. Every conversion is explained honestly: what is kept, what is lost, and when transparency disappears.
Runs entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, no image stored anywhere.

JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF. Max 20.00 MB per file, 100 megapixels. One file at a time. Files are processed in your browser only โ nothing is uploaded.
Choose imagesHow to use it
- Upload an image (JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, or GIF).
- Choose the output format and, for JPEG, a background colour and quality.
- Convert and download.
Supported formats and limitations
- JPEG output discards transparency โ choose a background colour first.
- BMP and GIF inputs are converted from their first frame only; animation is not preserved.
- Converting to a lossy format cannot improve quality, and converting a lossy file to PNG does not restore lost detail.
- Canvas support for BMP and GIF varies by browser; if a file cannot be decoded, a clear error is shown.
- Limits: 20 MB per file, 100 megapixels, batch maximum 10 files where batch is offered.
Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
JPEG for photographs, PNG for graphics with transparency or sharp text, WebP for the smallest modern files. The guide "JPG vs PNG vs WebP" explains the trade-offs.
Why is my animated GIF now a still image?
The browser Canvas API decodes only the first frame. Animation is not preserved by this tool, and the limitation is stated before you convert.
