UMARIX IMAGE TOOLS

🖼️ PNG to JPG

Convert a PNG image to JPEG. JPEG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). This is never done silently — you pick the colour first.

Runs entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, no image stored anywhere.

JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF. Max 20.00 MB per file, 100 megapixels. One file at a time. Files are processed in your browser only — nothing is uploaded.

Choose images

How to use it

  1. Upload a PNG image.
  2. If it has transparency, choose a background colour (white by default).
  3. Set JPEG quality, then convert and download.

Supported formats and limitations

  • Transparency is lost in JPEG. Transparent pixels become the chosen background colour.
  • JPEG uses lossy compression, so fine detail may soften at low quality.
  • Animation is not preserved.
  • Limits: 20 MB per file, 100 megapixels, batch maximum 10 files where batch is offered.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my transparent PNG get a white background?

JPEG has no transparency channel. A background colour must be chosen; this tool defaults to white and lets you change it before converting.
