๐งน Remove Image Metadata
Create a clean copy of an image with its metadata removed. The tool re-encodes the image through the browser Canvas, which drops EXIF and other embedded metadata. It states honestly what is lost in the process.
Runs entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, no image stored anywhere.

Choose imagesHow to use it
- Upload an image.
- Choose the output format.
- Download the clean copy, then verify it with the Metadata Viewer if you wish.
Supported formats and limitations
- Re-encoding may change file size and, for JPEG/WebP at quality below 100, visual quality.
- Animation is not preserved; only the first frame is kept.
- Some metadata embedded by specific cameras or apps may survive in ways the browser cannot detect โ verify the output with the Metadata Viewer, and do not rely on this tool alone for highly sensitive material.
- Limits: 20 MB per file, 100 megapixels, batch maximum 10 files where batch is offered.
Frequently asked questions
Does this remove all metadata?
It removes the metadata that the browser Canvas re-encode drops, which covers standard EXIF. The tool does not claim a guarantee for every proprietary metadata block, and it tells you to verify the result.
